Resilient Northern Habitats

We serve creatures great and small through design, models and instruction of whole natural systems which stimulate human health and creativity while multiplying ecosystem vitality.

We are a mission-driven organization founded by Kari Wenger and Peter Henry in 2009. We believe that sensitive and enlightened system design is critical to regaining the balance between nature and human settlement.

At Wagon Landing Farm, we are building a carbon negative homestead, integrating both permaculture and season extension technology to model what a sustainable 21st century home might look likeā€”at a 19th century log home.

Our organizational goals are to research sustainable technologies and habitat restoration, teach permaculture, advocate for effective public policy, and promote high quality design that serves human and animal kingdoms equally.

Along the way, we hope to grow 75% of our own food, create a vibrant community of like-minded souls, and live life with joy and gusto.
